Feature Fireplaces started trading in April 1994 when I opened the present shop at 21 Bear Street, Barnstaple. My wife Kath joined the business full-time in 1997 after having been in 20 years in banking. Previously I was a partner in two fireplace businesses in Cheshire, retail and installation in one and wholesale and manufacturing in the other. We moved to North Devon 1992 whilst I was still involved with above businesses.

Our business has grown over the years as our reputation for providing a stress-free and helpful service has got around. Our aim has always been to assist you to buy the right fireplace and fire in this ever increasing complex area. To this end we supply a complete range of products from all the leading manufacturers of fires and fireplace surrounds, including marble mantels, from which you can choose a fireplace that is right for you.

The types of work we do include the removal of an existing fireplace and making good. We can install false chimney breasts, flue systems, flue liners, chimney pots and cowls. As certified Gas Safe Engineers we install gas runs, gas fires and stoves.
